14 NIGHTS, 21 DEC TO 4 JAN

A room of your own

Private bedroom with its own bathroom, weekly cleaning and linen.

Work and life

600Mbps fibre and 24/7 coworking access two streets away.

A fishing village

Agaete, on the northwest coast, half an hour from Las Palmas.

What people actually do here

No programme, no entertainment team. This is what tends to happen in the house and in the village.

The long table

Someone cooks, everyone else lays the table. It happens more often than you would think.

The rooftop at sundown

Where the day ends, with the harbour right in front of you.

Swimming in December

There are people here who get in the water all year round. These weeks included.

Quiet work

600Mbps fibre and a long table under the pergola.

The natural pools

Sea water held between volcanic rock, in the village itself.

Puerto de las Nieves

A working fishing village, not a resort strip.

Twenty one seconds of Christmas in Agaete

Our own drone footage over Puerto de las Nieves. Yes, that is Santa on a paddleboard, and yes, those people are swimming.

"As our fourth year in a row hosting a winter team retreat with Repeople comes to an end at El Cabo, I can’t help but realise how special and unique this place truly is. Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur or bringing a full team, El Cabo, and the people behind it, consistently deliver an experience that genuinely brings everyone together."

"This is my 4th time coming back, and that says it all: amazing community, super easy to make friends, and always a fun, welcoming vibe. I also love how close it is to incredible hikes, I’ve captured some really special photos here over the years. And just to be clear… it’s NOT true that one year we all went for a late-night skinny dip in the ocean (fake news and AI photos 👀). Happy to be back for another round! ☀️🥾📸🎄🌊"

"For almost a decade, I've been escaping every dreary German winter for the Canary Islands. At first, I always went to bustling Las Palmas, but now I'm increasingly drawn to El Cabo and its lush Agaete Valley. Why? Besides the natural beauty and stunning views from the rooftop terrace or the small restaurants in the harbour, it's the vibe of a larger group of like-minded remote workers and travelers. I'm really looking forward to Christmas and New Year's with the group and among the party-loving locals."

Yes. Both the house and the Repeople coworking in Agaete run on connections meant for people who work online all day, with video calls and large uploads.

That is who these two weeks are for. The point of the block is that you are not organising Christmas on your own: there is a shared table, a community agenda and other people staying the same fortnight.

Agaete is walkable and there are buses (guaguas) to Las Palmas and the rest of the island. For the mountains and the south, a rental car makes the fortnight much easier.
